If you want to change your life…
If you want to change your life, focus on the small habits
Why?
Because small consistent habits add up to big long term results and changes!
How you spend your mornings: Do you start your day by grabbing your phone? What if you didn’t touch it for the first 30 minutes of your day and did something for yourself like move your body or meditate for 5 minutes or journal? What if you drank a large glass of water with a squeeze of lemon and pinch of salt before your coffee?
How you talk to yourself: What if you became your biggest fan instead of your worst enemy and told the mean girl in your head to beat it? Instead of criticizing your body and saying mean things about her, what if you thanked her for how amazing she is and all that she does for you each day. Send the parts of your body that are your least favorite, the most love.
What you read: What are you filling your mind and head with? Is gossip dimming your light? Are you reading negative stuff online that brings your vibe down too? I love having a couple books on the go, something depending on my mood: a self improvement, non fiction and fiction, but I am very careful about what I lay my eyes on.
What you watch: Just like what you read. I often delete Netflix and listen to podcasts or audio books instead or put on documentary or something where I am learning. Yes, tuning out with a fun show is great…but maybe not everyday. I also, don’t watch the news and am very careful about the negative noise I allow into my space.
Who you share your energy with: You energy is your precious currency and who gets to have some of it should be a very select process. If they are not worthy of your energy or are sucking up too much of it, take a step back, distance yourself and keep your boundaries firm. Leaking your precious energy to those who are not worthy is sooo exhausting. Protect your energy.
Who has access to you: Be picky. “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” These 5 people will shape who are and who you are becoming. Say no to others, to say yes to you!
Do you need to work on some of these?
I do! It’s a daily practice!
